This is a great forum for me to share with you, just some of the incredible benefits and the unexpected positive results, that I have experienced through following the exercise program Sandy Sher developed for me.
As a NSW SES Volunteer, my right shoulder was badly damaged during a difficult rescue operation. Even a year after extensive surgery and physiotherapy, I was simply unable to resume many of my normal duties. As a Chainsaw Instructor, Flood-boat Operator etc.,my ability to contribute felt like zero, until I was placed in Sandy's care. She encouraged and motivated me to just keep working on the exercise program she had tailored specifically for me. Every time I thought I had achieved all that was possible, she pushed the boundary just a little further for me. Last November I was able to resume duty as a Chainsaw Assessor and last weekend I happily spent two days on the Tumut river re-establishing my Flood rescue skills. If it wasn't for Sandy's dedication and professionalism, I'd still be asking my wife to get me things from the top shelf. Now I'm getting ready to build the top shelf!
I was referred to Sandy by my GP to assist me to get back on track for a back injury I sustained in a car accident.
From the moment I started with Sandy I felt at ease. She was sensitive to my emotional state as I had been in so much back pain for over a year since the car accident. She was patient and very supportive as we worked through my rehabilitation program. Sandy’s knowledge of the anatomy assisted me in understanding my pain and utilising the various forms of exercises she gave me to improve and strengthen my body. Her exercise recommendations have always accommodated my ability as well as gradually increasing the exercises to break through my back pain in a controlled way.
I’m in a better position now having started with Sandy and only wish I had seen her a year ago. Thank you Sandy.
