Live 2 Be Well’s Exercise Physiologists are highly experienced and accredited through the Exercise Science and Sport Association Australia, WorkCover NSW and are Department of Veteran Affair registered. We are based in Randwick but all our consultants are mobile and can travel to clients if required.

Our consultants are passionate about providing the best care using the most up to date best practice methods to assist clients maximize and achieve their health, fitness and rehabilitation goals.

Our founder, Sandy Sher, started Live 2 Be Well after 10 years of working in the Health & Fitness, Rehabilitation and WorkCover industry, where she realised that many injuries and illnesses could be prevented.

As an Exercise Physiologist, Sandy believes that through the right lifestyle choices and better work practices, we can take a proactive approach to injury management and health. Live 2 be Well was set up to facilitate preventative lifestyle and work practices to assist prevent injury and illnesses through the use of educated decisions and preventative measures.

'I often hear remarks from people around me about the financial cost, time expenditure and effort taken to be healthy, yet the Australian Health Care System spends billions of dollars every year, on treating sickness and injury according the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (http://www.aihw.gov.au/publications/index.cfm/title/10659 ).

People tend to wait until they are unwell before they take action to improve their health. Unfortunately instead of treating the causes of our illnesses and conditions through better lifestyle choices and work practices, people treat their symptoms.

I feel the costs of treating and recovering from injury and illness far outweighs the costs of prevention and staying healthy. I often wonder what sort of path a person with terminal illness or a chronic condition would take if they had a second chance knowing what may lie ahead. I think the most important question we need to ask ourselves is: what are we waiting for??' - Sandy Sher

Sandy's interest in holistic lifestyle management began when she was diagnosed with an arthritic condition 15 years ago called Ankylosing Spondylitis, an auto-immune disease.  Sandy has always been passionate about health and fitness and hence explored different avenues to keep her in peak form in spite of her illness.

In addition to medical treatment, Sandy started to learn about the use of food as a natural form of medication. With a combination of Western Medicine to keep her in remission, Sandy also ensures optimum health by eating predominantly organic produce and eliminating grains and processed food from her diet. She continues to strive to work towards being medication free through careful dietary and lifestyle choices.
